The Learning Process
One or two hours per week are a very short time to learn a new language, and it is fundamental that students' attention during classes is kept very high by the teacher. Students measure the effectiveness of a language course by communicating with other people; satisfaction and self-esteem are directly proportional to the increase of confidence with the language. Depending on the level reached, a student can realize of his/her improvements even during simple daily actions, such as doing the grocery at the supermarket. For a beginner, even small steps are great achievements making a big difference in daily life. Our teachers prepare classes in advance to make sure that the right amount of time is dedicated to each subject, from grammar to conversation.
German Courses for English speakers
Most of our students speak English as their first or second language and therefore will encounter the same obstacles when learning German. In private classes we often refer to English to explain the German grammar or show parallels to the English language. Although we believe that total immersion is the best way to learn a language we also know that it is important to understand a few concepts in your own language to feel more comfortable speaking and understanding German.
